Team Green Adventures was established by Lightning 100 (WRLT 100.1 FM) in 1996 as a way to get our listeners involved in an active lifestyle. Since then, our audience has expanded to other cities and states, with members across the Nation and events across the Globe! Survival Techniques & Lighter Backpacking Workshop

Saturday March 29 from 10am-12pm
Join Team Green at this fun hands-on workshop which will teach you some basic survival skills, tips on how to think & pack more ultralight, becoming more resourceful and even some cool cooking techniques!
DETAILS: This event will be held at Percy Priest Lake. During this workshop members will participate and learn some possible lifesaving techniques including how to boil water in a plastic bottle, fire-starting/carrying techniques, how to cook an omelet in a plastic bag and much more. Do you how to get water from the ground if you can’t find a stream? You will when you’re finished with this workshop! Plus many useful tips for backpacking including gear, food & cooking, repairs to your tent or sleeping pad, & different items you carry that have a dual-purpose.
This will be hands-on with all participants actively practicing and demonstrating the techniques.
We’ll cook our lunch with some of the techniques as part of the workshop using different cooking methods, otherwise please bring your lunch.
