Team Green Adventures was established by Lightning 100 (WRLT 100.1 FM) in 1996 as a way to get our listeners involved in an active lifestyle. Since then, our audience has expanded to other cities and states, with members across the Nation and events across the Globe! Through adventure we promote health, community service, and environmental awareness. Check out our calendar and pick the adventure that’s right for you!

TG ANNUAL SUMMER PICNIC
Details
When
Sunday, July 27 from 12noon to 6:00pm
Join us for our annual Summer Picnic at the Lake Woodhaven area at Montgomery Bell State Park on Sunday, July 27th from 12:00 until 4:00.
We will have grilles, condiments, and plates, so bring something to grille and a side dish to share. Enjoy outdoor activities- Kids and Dogs on leash welcome. Free event and open to the public!
Guided Hike
We will have a leisurely aprox. 3 mile guided hike in the morning before the picnic. Meet at 11am at the maintrail head and the nature center located on the left when you enter the park off I-70 coming West.
Group Mountain Biking
Ride at Montgomery Bell on Sunday morning at 9AM before the picnic. The ride is open to all levels, beginners welcome but bring your own bike- helmets required. Last year we went for a swim in the lake before heading to the shelter so bring a change of clothes with you and make a day of it (in fact there is usually quite a bit of canoeing/kayaking/swimming at the picnic so bring your boat and swimsuit). Directions to Bike Trail
From park entrance turn Right (East) onto Hwy 70. Continue on Hwy 70 driving east for less than 2 miles. Turn left onto Jones Creek Rd (first road on left after passing park entrance). Stay on Jones Creek Rd for 1 mile; you will pass Ebb Tide boat factory on right. Turn on the next right at Bill Duke Rd. The parking lot to the Mountain Bike trail is the first road on right. and bike trail
Paddling
Montgomery Bell State Park is located on a lovely lake. Bring a kayak or canoe if you have one. We we may have boats available to borrow. More details coming soon.
DIRECTIONS TO THE PARK PICNIC
Directions to Montgomery Bells/ Team Green’s Picnic:
I-40 West from Nashville, to Exit 182 (Fairview/Dickson Hwy. 96 Exit). Turn left (West) onto Highway 96. Stay on Highway 96 until it deadends at Highway 70. Turn right (East) on Highway 70, off-ramp provided. Stay on Highway 70 approximately 3 miles. Park entrance is on the right. Enter park and continue up the hill. Bare Left at the fork at then take your first Right and head down the hill to the shelter on your right.
OR
Take Highway 70 West from Bellevue and drive for aprox 35 miles to the park entrance on your Left. Enter park and continue up the hill. Bare Left at the fork at then take your first Right and head down the hill to the shelter on your right.



Golf anyone? Montgomery Bell Park has a great Golf Course and we’ve reserved an 11:00 am tee time for 4 people to play 9 holes and then join the picnic. Hackers welcome. Interested? Call me at 310-1888.
