Team Green Adventures was established by Lightning 100 (WRLT 100.1 FM) in 1996 as a way to get our listeners involved in an active lifestyle. Since then, our audience has expanded to other cities and states, with members across the Nation and events across the Globe! Stone Door Hike

Saturday, December 15 at 7 a.m.
Join Team Green along with the Hiking Meet-Up group for a day hike at Savage Gulf – Stone Door area at South Cumberland State Park near Monteagle, TN. We will meet at TARGET parking lot in Antioch on Bell Road (off I-24 South) at 7am and will drive 1.5-2 hours to the Stone Door parking area. We will hike down the Stone Door Trail (.9 miles) to the Great Stone Door, then split into two groups. One group will hike the more strenuous and longer route into the gorge and back out via the Big Creek Gulf trail and back to the parking lot via the Big Creek Rim Trail (7.2 miles), while the other will hike the easier Big Creek Rim Trail and back to the parking lot via the Laurel Trail (6.1 miles). If we have time, on the way back, we may stop at Foster Falls as well. You will need to bring hiking boots, a pack large enough to carry water for the day and lunch, and dress for the weather. A camera to capture the beautiful scenery (and your great hiking buddies) and a fleece pullover are also recommended (it will keep you warm even when wet). Dogs are allowed on the trails, but should be on a leash at all times.
