Team Green Adventures was established by Lightning 100 (WRLT 100.1 FM) in 1996 as a way to get our listeners involved in an active lifestyle. Since then, our audience has expanded to other cities and states, with members across the Nation and events across the Globe! SAFE HAVEN HIKE FOR THE HOMELESS

Saturday, October 4th at 9am (10am start)
Safe Haven strives to empower homeless families with children to live independently through financial, social, and faith-based guidance.
The Safe Haven Hike for the Homeless was attended by 424 participants and garnered over $40,000 through earnings and sponsorships last year. We hope to make this event even bigger.
When: Saturday, October 4th 2008
Where: Edwin Warner Park, Picnic Shelters 9 & 11
Registration at 9am
Hike begins at 10am-12pm
How: Pre-register online at www.safehaven.org
Cost: $25 day of the hike
$20 pre-registered
Children 10 and under are free
Participants will have two paved trails to choose from, which vary in length from 2.8-3.1 miles. Pets on a leash and strollers are allowed on the hike. There will be food, games, live music, a rock climbing wall, inflatables, and more, with proceeds benefiting Safe Haven’s homeless families.
