Team Green Adventures was established by Lightning 100 (WRLT 100.1 FM) in 1996 as a way to get our listeners involved in an active lifestyle. Since then, our audience has expanded to other cities and states, with members across the Nation and events across the Globe! PERU TREK: MACHU PICCHU

July 3rd through 17th, 2009
Rumor has it the lost city of Machu Picchu may soon to be lost once again to the public, and Team Green is taking no chances on missing out. We have designed an exotic trek to Peru to grasp one last experience the fascinating ruins. Our fifteen day journey will take us through Lima, Cuzco, Machu Picchu, and more!

Cost: Members $1830, $275 deposit (non-refundable)
Non-Members $1930, $375 deposit (non-refundable)
Deadline: December 15th, spots are going fast!
Refund Policy This deposit is non-refundable. You are welcome to find your own replacement 60 days prior to the event. After 60 days prior your name cannot be replaced.
Difficulty Moderate hiking and backpacking involved, beginners welcome!

About Peru
Cradle to the vast Incan Empire, the largest in pre-Colombian America, Peru’s power and gold attracted the Spanish conquistadores who used it to fund their own vast empire in the Americas. As a result colonial gems like magnificent Cuzco were built on Incan foundations, making for a fascinating hybrid culture. Peru is peppered with Incan sites, but none so famous as the lost city of Machu Picchu, whose breathtaking image seems to grace every brochure and travel book. Journey to Lake Titicaca and then La Paz, and you’ve only just begun to scratch the surface.

Notice to Trip participants:
Team Green has contracted with Gap Adventures to serve as booking agent/ guide service for Peru Trek 2009 scheduled for July 3-18, 2009. Gap Adventures will be responsible for payment of your trip deposit for Peru Trek 2009. Deposits collected by Team Green for this trip have been forwarded to Gap Adventures for this purpose. Team Green is not responsible for your deposit once paid to Gap Adventures. Team Green is also not responsible for monies paid by you directly to Gap Adventures.
You may choose to buy trip insurance with Gap Adventures.
