Team Green Adventures was established by Lightning 100 (WRLT 100.1 FM) in 1996 as a way to get our listeners involved in an active lifestyle. Since then, our audience has expanded to other cities and states, with members across the Nation and events across the Globe! Come out to the Hermitage Public Library to hear all about Team Green’s Trek to Peru March 2006, presented by Laurel Creech, Chris Fleming, Chris Jamar, and Jay Crosson
Learn all about Team Green’s trek to the cultural mecca Peru. For two weeks, ten people of various ages and backgrounds traveled to Cusco to head out on a five day trek to Machupichu. Their journey was remarkable, experiencing hundreds of ruins, amazing local culture and history, and of course following the original trail on foot with personal gear and porters to the Sun Gate of the hidden city of Machupichu . After the arduous and breathtaking journey, the group headed down to the Amazon to view and engage with incredibly rare birds and amphibians in a remote area on the Southern Amazon.
