Team Green Adventures is Tennessee’s outdoor adventure leader with a 14 year history. Through our partnership with Lightning 100, we promote Health, Community Service, and Environmental Awareness through Adventure. We hope to instill a respect for the environment, a desire to explore new adventures, and a craving for challenge beyond everyday boundaries.

Outdoor Climbing Day Trip: Kings Bluff

“Team Green’s rock climbing adventures have taken off with an explosion of interest the past two years, in part because of our great indoor rock climbing partnership with Climb Nashville, every Thursday evening, and in part because of our great outdoor rock climbing guide Adam Beck with Fox Mountain Guides (formerly Becknology Rock Climbing Guides). To kick off our 2010 outdoor climbing season, we’re heading to Kings Bluff in Clarksville, TN. It’s only 45 minutes Northwest of Nashville, offering the perfect day trip for both beginner and advanced climbers. Beginner climbers will get a refresher on their belay lessons and climb routes rated as easy as 5.4, while advanced climbers can learn outdoor lead climbing on easier routes or challenge themselves on top ropes up to 5.12. (If you don’t know the Yosemite Decimal system, think of a 5.4 as climbing up a ladder, and a 5.12 as climbing up the side of a building with very few places to hold on to).”
