Team Green Adventures was established by Lightning 100 (WRLT 100.1 FM) in 1996 as a way to get our listeners involved in an active lifestyle. Since then, our audience has expanded to other cities and states, with members across the Nation and events across the Globe! Music City Triathlon/ Triathletes for Africa

Swim, bike run! It’s time for the music city triathlon Sunday, September 16. The race is sold out but spectators are welcome to come cheer your family members, friends, neighbors, and star athletes and the new location, Nashville Shores. The Music City TRI is the second oldest in the country, so be a part of history by cheering others on a cool September morning.
Do you have old running shoes just laying around the house taking up room? Well, if they’re in good condition then donate them to tri-athletes for Africa, an organization providing advocacy, education, and charitable giving to those who are impoverished, oppressed, sick, or live in fear. Prosper footwear for African peoples in areas of need will help reduce diseases and infections that spread by bare feet. You can donate adult sized running shoes or children’s and toddler shoes of any kind that are in good condition. Shoe donations will be taken at the Music City triathlon Sunday, September 16th or anytime at Fleet Feet Sports in Brentwood.
