Who is Team Green?
Team Green Adventures was established by Lightning 100 (WRLT 100.1 FM) in 1996 as a way to get our listeners involved in an active lifestyle. Since then, our audience has expanded to other cities and states, with members across the Nation and events across the Globe! July 4th Volleyball & Urban Assualt
Details
When
Friday, July 4th
If you don’t already have plans for July 4th, please come join us for a picnic at Centennial Park and an Urban Assault as we head downtown to watch the fireworks! Here are the details:
Picnic
We’ll meet at the sand volleyball courts starting at 5:30 for a picnic and some volleyball before heading downtown.
Fireworks
According to a the Nashville Business Journal, a national survey ranked Nashville’s fireworks bash as second in the nation behind Philadelphia… and if you’ve seen it before, you’d have to agree that it’s a spectacular show!!! This year’s show will be the biggest to date with more than 24,000 individual firework shells, mines and comets! We will depart from Centennial Park at 7:30 at ride bikes or roller blade downtown and to find a great place to settle in and watch the show. After the show, we’ll avoid the traffic and ride back to Centennial Park.
What to Bring
for the picnic, please bring whatever you’d like to throw on the grill, your favorite non-alcoholic beverage and a side dish to share (grills, condiments, plates, cups and utensils will be provided). If you have a volleyball or Frisbee, please bring it. If you plan to join us on the Urban Assault, you will need to bring your bike or blades (you must have a helmet… no exceptions!) and probably a camel back or hydration pack. If you can safely carry a small chair on your back that’s fine, but nothing that would encumber your riding ability.
Contact
No reservations needed and this is a free event open to the public. For questions, email the trip leader at Kurt
