Team Green Adventures was established by Lightning 100 (WRLT 100.1 FM) in 1996 as a way to get our listeners involved in an active lifestyle. Since then, our audience has expanded to other cities and states, with members across the Nation and events across the Globe! Through adventure we promote health, community service, and environmental awareness. Check out our calendar and pick the adventure that’s right for you!

Hiking Gear Workshop/ Clinic

Are you a hiker and sometimes wondered “what should I buy” or “what should I bring”? If so then come out to REI for a free Hiking Gear Workshop co-sponsored by the Hiking Meet-Up Group to review some of these topics:
1. Boot Basics – plus proper socks, preventing blisters
2. The Role of the Pole (hiking poles)
3. Backpacks and Camelbaks
4. Layers, jackets, rain gear, different fabric types
5. Pack Ten or stuff you should carry on the trail
6. Basic first aid
