Hidden Lake Day Hike

Details

When

Sunday, March 2nd at 9:30am

Join Team Green for a short 2 ½-3 mile day hike at Hidden Lake, part of the Harpeth River State Park, right here in Nashville. This is a short, but very scenic and interesting hike. Plan to spend 2-3 hours exploring beside the trail. We will see two lakes converted from an old quarry, bluffs, hike on top of the bluffs with views of the lake and the Harpeth River, hike through parts of what used to be an old resort/night club, and past an old house and barn – all interesting side points to explore! The trail itself is low-moderate with a couple of steep climbs. We will meet at 9:30am and should be off the trail in time for lunch.

What to Bring

It is suggested you bring a camera, good hiking shoes, water, a snack, and dress for the weather. If you have any questions, please contact Shana Culberson at shanaculberson@yahoo.com.

Directions:

From Nashville, take I-40 west toward Memphis. Take exit 192, McCrory lane and take a right (toward Pegram) at the bottom of the ramp. Continue for a couple of miles and right after you cross the river, you should see a sign for Harpeth River State Park / Hidden lake and the parking lot will be on your left.
