Team Green Adventures was established by Lightning 100 (WRLT 100.1 FM) in 1996 as a way to get our listeners involved in an active lifestyle. Since then, our audience has expanded to other cities and states, with members across the Nation and events across the Globe! Hang Gliding

October 22nd & 23rd
Sail over the treetops in this purest form of flight at our annual hang gliding trip to Lookout Mountain. Choose between a 2000 ft or the more adventurous 4000 ft tandem flight with a professional certified instructor pilot by your side. For the first time every we’re flying in the fall, during the peak of fall colors! This is not a “Hang Gliding Ride,” but rather a flight instruction. While in the air your instructor pilot will show you how the hang glider works and even give you the opportunity to steer the glider. When it’s time for landing, the instructor pilot will take back over for a safe landing.
Chose a flight time on Saturday, October 22nd or Sunday, October 23rd. Make a day trip out of it, or camp overnight!

I have always wanted to hang glide. Are there any takers 60 or above on the trip? I would love to do this. Thanks, Faye
Hey Faye,
Yes, there are participants of all ages (kids to 65+). We just started promoting this year’s event so I don’t know what the demographic is this year. Actually, I usually don’t look at birth date information on the roster, so typically I don’t even know participant ages until I see them at the event. Either way, you’ll have a great time! Especially if you stay for the whole weekend and camp with us. That’s personally my favorite part (camping and watching everyone else hang glide). It’s just as cool as the act itself!
