Team Green Adventures was established by Lightning 100 (WRLT 100.1 FM) in 1996 as a way to get our listeners involved in an active lifestyle. Since then, our audience has expanded to other cities and states, with members across the Nation and events across the Globe! Event Posting
Soar like an Eagle in this purest form of flight at our annual hang gliding trip to Lookout Mountain. Choose between a 2000 ft or more adventurous 4000 ft tandem flight with a professional certified instructor pilot by your side. Awe with a birds eye view of beautiful Lookout Mountain.

Difficulty No experience necessary. Introductory class available for $50, to be paid to Look Out Mountain Hanglide directly.
Children Policy This event is open to 6 and up.
Dog Policy Friendly dogs are permitted but must be on leash and under supervision during your flight time.
Refund Policy This event is subject to 10% cancellation fee. No refunds available two weeks out from the event (July 11th). If poor weather requires the outfitter to cancel your flight, you will be issued a credit to use your flight on another day.
A 2000 ft flight will last approximately 12 to 20 minutes of flying time – or try the 4000 ft flight for 20 to 26 minutes of flying time. All tandem flights are towed to altitude by a special ultra-light aircraft. In-flight photos available. To fly, you must weigh less than 250 lbs.

Notice to Trip participants
Team Green has contracted with Lookout Mountain Hang Glide to serve as booking agent/ guide service for Hang Gliding. Lookout Mountain Hang Glide will be responsible for payment of your trip deposit for Hang Gliding. Deposits collected by Team Green for this trip have been forwarded to Lookout Mountain Hang Glide for this purpose. Team Green is not responsible for your deposit once paid to Lookout Mountain Hang Glide. Team Green is also not responsible for monies paid by you directly to Lookout Mountain Hang Glide.
Additional Options
Overnight Lodging
You can choose to camp at the landing field for $5 per person or rent a cabin. No reservations needed to camp in the landing field. You can pay when you arrive. To rent a cabin call ASAP 706-657-8282.
The Intro Experience:
If you decide you love hang gliding then check out the Intro Experience- a special offer for Team Greener’s the day of your tandem flight for only $50 more.
Package includes
- Beginning Ground School
- 5 training hill flights
- 1 tandem instructional aerotow flight to 2000’
This is the most popular one-day hang gliding experience. You will fly your first flights in a controlled environment, surfing the slopes of our small hills, only about 5 to 10 feet off the ground. You will get five opportunities to fly from our small hill with a certified instructor guiding you step by step. After your morning session you will fly tandem with an instructor by your side to an altitude of 2,000 feet above beautiful Lookout Valley where you will build on your experience in learning to fly the glider. The carpool is driving down together on Friday night, but others may form smaller carpools to head down Saturday and Sunday as well. Flights on Saturday are at 9:15am and 10:15am (all 11:15am spots have been taken), or on Sunday at 9:15 and 10:15am. Sunday has more open spots.
