Team Green Adventures was established by Lightning 100 (WRLT 100.1 FM) in 1996 as a way to get our listeners involved in an active lifestyle. Since then, our audience has expanded to other cities and states, with members across the Nation and events across the Globe! Through adventure we promote health, community service, and environmental awareness. Check out our calendar and pick the adventure that’s right for you!

ENGAGE GREEN: WINTERIZING YOUR HOME

Though it’s still the Dog Days of summer, it’s not too early to start thinking about how to save energy this winter. Are you letting valuable heat escape through duct work and doorways? What are some ways you can cut your heating bill and help conserve energy? This informative session will provide you with simple fixes to save energy and lower your home’s carbon footprint in the winter.

Parking Park in the underground parking garage and take the “B” elevator up to the ground level. A courtesy guard will be on hand to gain you access to the correct floor between 5:30 and 6:15pm.
Hands on Presentation
Get a hands on, up front walk through of 5th & Main Condos‘s green living space in Nashville as E3 Innovate conducts a typical energy audit to show how small leakages through windows and doors can impact your winter home energy costs.
About Engage Green
Engage Green is an initiative of Lightning 100’s Team Green and Cool People Care designed to educate the Nashville community about simple ways to make their lives greener. Engage Green hosts a knowledgeable speaker the first Tuesday of every month to cover information on how-to topics that can be easily transferred into our daily lives in an informal, casual setting. Each presentation is interactive and allows discussion throughout. Topics this fall include home energy audits, composting, sustainable cooking and eco-friendly holiday gift ideas. Each workshop is free and includes a one hour presentation or demonstration followed by question/answer and engaging with other participants. No reservations needed. Open to the public. Locations will vary.
Live On the Green
Register for giveaways at Live On the Green Team Green Booth every Thursday between September 3rd and October 8th. We’ll draw the winners at the following Engage Green series! Winners must be present to win.
