Team Green Adventures was established by Lightning 100 (WRLT 100.1 FM) in 1996 as a way to get our listeners involved in an active lifestyle. Since then, our audience has expanded to other cities and states, with members across the Nation and events across the Globe! Through adventure we promote health, community service, and environmental awareness. Check out our calendar and pick the adventure that’s right for you!

Tennessee Repertory Theatre is proud to present Darwin in Malibu. Submit your zany, embarrassing story and you are eligible for two tickets to the show on May 14th, airline tickets to Malibu California and a room at Malibu Hilton for one lucky winner and their special guest!!!

Charles Darwin Award
Here’s your chance to win 2 round trip airline tickets to Malibu, CA & stay at Malibu Hilton! Enter Lightning 100/ Team Green’s Charles Darwin Awards. Submit your dumbest, craziest near misses & you can win! Submissions begin April 20th and ends May 1st. Top 10 winners will receive tickets to the May 14th show at TPAC’s Johnston Theater. We will announce the winner at the show. Must be present to win the Grand Prize. Voting begins May 4th!

Submissions must be less than 75 words(shorter the entry the likelihood to be read on air).

Lightning staff member – says to our intern. Hey, whats wrong with you? Looks like you have a limp? Intern pulls up the leg of her jeans to reveal a prosthesis…
Dan Buckley – First day of having my license. I am not suppose to drive on the highway yet. I only have to make it to the next exit. All of a sudden their is a great big BEE in the car and I start swatting it away. I end up just barely drifting off the side of the road. After about 10 feet I hit the trees. The car stops and is stuck. I am horrified, but ok. I call a tow-truck. The driver gets there eventually and says to me. “Hey, I remember this car! you got an older sister named Gina?” I do of course…

About Darwin in Malibu
Charles Darwin – 120 years after his death – is hanging out in a beach house overlooking the Pacific with a girl young enough to be his daughter. His peace is rudely disturbed when his old friend Thomas Huxley arrives, closely followed by the Bishop of Oxford. And Darwin suddenly finds himself entangled in an enthralling and thought-provoking comedy about God, science, and plastic surgery. You may think you know how such a discussion would go between the father of evolution and one of evolution’s most outspoken critics in his day, but you will be surprised.
