What is your “Superior Donut”? That’s right, winning 2 airfare tickets and hotel stay in Chicago is one creative-and-unique donut FLAVOR away! So, to all you creative conceptual cooks, this is your time to shine. Whether you graduated from culinary school or simply have a good imagination, you have the chance to win! Come up with a unique donut flavor idea, take a picture of yourself, and you could be the Grand Prize winner, announced at the March 21st performance of Tennessee Rep’s Superior Donuts.

When: Contest entries close on March 16th
Where: Visit Fox’s Donut Den and Lightning 100 Facebook Page
Cost: FREE contest, open to the public

Difficulty: This is a fun, interactive contest
Children Policy: Must be 18 or older to win
Dog Policy: Dogs can enter, but cannot win, sorry.

ABOUT THE CONTEST

You probably already have a donut flavor in mind, and are wondering… what’s next?! Well where else would you go other than the most notoriously, delicious donut-shop in the Nashville area? Fox’s Donut Den will have a large donut cutout on display in its shop starting February 27th. Visit the shop during regular store hours, and take a picture of yourself in the cardboard cut-out (pictured above). Have some fun with your picture and try to make it stand out. Upload your SUPERIOR photo to the Lightning 100 Facebook Page. In the caption line, tell us your glorious new donut flavor idea (for example “Maple Bacon Donut”). Yeah, it’s that easy!

You have until March 16th to post your photo with your donut flavor idea, and then Mr. Fox (the renowned owner of Fox’s Donut Den) will choose his top 5 favorite flavor ideas, and FEATURE THEM in his store. Not only will that earn you major bragging rights, but it also makes you eligible for the Grand Prize!

The 5 foodie genius finalists that Mr. Fox selects will receive complimentary tickets to the March 21st showing of Tennessee Rep’s Superior Donuts! Before or after this performance, the Grand Prize Winner will be chosen via a random drawing. Winner must be present at the show, so block out that day on your calendar, just in case!

Step 1: Have your picture taken at Fox’s Donut Den in Green Hills
Step 2: Upload your photo to the Lightning 100 Facebook page
Step 3: Put your unique and original donut flavor in the caption section of your picture
Step 4: If you are one of the top 5 winners, clear your schedule for the March 21st performance of Superior Donuts! (you must be present to be eligible for the Grand Prize)
Step 5: Cross your fingers while you wait for your name to be drawn during the March 21st showing!

TN Rep’s Superior Donuts takes stage in a slowly gentrifying uptown Chicago neighborhood, so what better place to send the Grand Prize winner than to Chicago! Grand Prize package includes 2 complimentary flights to Chicago, including hotel stay. More information coming.

Superior Donuts tells the story of how an unlikely friendship can emerge in the most unexpected places, stirs up the challenges of embracing one’s past, shows the redemptive power of friendship, and analyzes the American Dream and how living in America can affect it.
