Team Green Adventures was established by Lightning 100 (WRLT 100.1 FM) in 1996 as a way to get our listeners involved in an active lifestyle. Since then, our audience has expanded to other cities and states, with members across the Nation and events across the Globe! CANOE-TO-CAMP TRIP: PERCY PRIEST LAKE

When
Saturday October 4-5th 2008
This is an exciting local trip! We’ll be meeting at Anderson Rd Park on Saturday morning to load up the canoes, departing shoreline at 9am. We’ll paddle across Percy Priest lake about 30-40 minutes to the remote island we’ll be camping on, where we can drop off gear and begin to set up camp. Participants can enjoy many activities including canoeing around and hiking/exploring the many islands, swimming the warm waters, great fishing, or just hanging out with friends. There will be other group activities through the day, then we’ll cook dinner and see a really cool campfire-lighting display, and some campfire fun! Marshmallows & music included! We’ll return on Sunday afternoon.
Logistics:
We’ll meet in the parking lot of the Anderson Road Recreation area at 9am sharp! We’ll have a limited number of canoes/kayaks for use, so if you own one, please bring it! You’ll also need general camping gear (tent, sleeping bag, water, food) but we can all share stoves, etc.
IF YOU NEED A CANOE/KAYAK please let Mike P know when you sign up, they are first come first served.
