Team Green Adventures was established by Lightning 100 (WRLT 100.1 FM) in 1996 as a way to get our listeners involved in an active lifestyle. Since then, our audience has expanded to other cities and states, with members across the Nation and events across the Globe! BRIDGE BUILDING WEEKEND

Join Team Green and the Cumberland Trail Conference for bridge building on Little Possum Creek near Chattanooga. After this experience, you’ll never look at a trail the same way again!

You are welcome to bring your own tent and camp, or bring bedding for dorm-style bunkbeds. If you’ve never participated in trail-building, it is a marvelous experience! Especially if you are a hiker, you will never look at a trail the same way again! It’s hard work, but incredibly rewarding, even addictive. Volunteers are needed to pack in bridge materials and participate in bridge construction. Food and lodging will be provided at the Lutheran Camp in Soddy-Daisy, Tennessee, which is a really great location, right on a lake. All meals are provided. The work day will begin at 8am and we should be back at camp by 5:00 or earlier. Evenings will be spent relaxing by the lake. We will work Saturday and Sunday, and return to Nashville Sunday evening.
Registration
We should arrive at the camp Friday night (a meeting location in Nashville will be designated for those who want to carpool) and be ready to work on Saturday morning.

Hey Everybody: I was just down in Soddy Daisy this past weekend, helping to haul in bridge supplies. All of the “carrying in” part is done. What remains this week is to zip-line supplies down the gorge slope, which is hard work but fun! By this weekend (the 29th-30th) they may need a bit more of the zip-line work, but the bridge will definitely be “under construction” by then, so if you want to be part of that, or to see how it is done, come join us!
