Meeting time: 8:00 AM
Hike Distance: 8-10 miles
Estimated Hike Time: 6 hours
Difficulty: moderate

Dog Policy Well behaved dogs are welcome

We will most likely be hiking part of the North/ South trail and you should be prepared to travel 8-10 miles round trip. We will not go if it is raining or predicted to rain. Consult the weather reports before the trip. Dress warmly in layers, wear sturdy boots, and bring plenty of water and lunch. We will have a few spotting scopes and binoculars but if you have your own, please bring them.

Once we get to LBL, we’ll check with the visitors center to find out if the eagles have been hanging out in any particular areas. If the birds are scattered about, we’ll hike a section of the North/South trail from Sugar Bay to Duncan Lake (this is where the birds were hanging out at this time last year). After that we’ll head over to the Woodsland Nature Station and hike around the Honkers Bay before heading back.
