Laurel Creech: Founder and Creator of Team Green
Team Green extends an eternal thank you to Laurel Creech for serving as Creator and Director of Team Green Adventures for 13 years! Without Laurel’s innovation and passion for the outdoors, Team Green Adventures and LiveOntheGreen never would have come into existence.
Team Green originated in 1996 as a venture to get Lightning 100 listeners and the community outdoors. While directing the mission and vision of Team Green, Laurel also served on many environmental boards including Mayor Dean’s Green Ribbon Committee, Nashville Clean Water Project, Nashville’s Earth Day Festival, Cumberland River Compact, Cumberland Region Tomorrow, Robert Wood Johnson Foundation’s Music City Moves, as well as advising the Mayor’s Office, Metro Parks, and Greenways on development projects and events for the city of Nashville. Laurel’s community awards and achievements include:
- Nashville Emerging Leaders Award for the Chamber of Commerce in community service and non-profit work (August 2007)
- Young Leader’s Council (YLC) graduate
- Community Public Health Hero of the Year for Metro Public Health Department
- Mike Curb’s Achievement in Radio Award for Outstanding Community Service
